Meet Boss, a 5-year-old, male Husky who was rescued from a home where he was abused repeatedly and neglected simply for being an in-demand breed. He was rescued in an emaciated state, with a maggot wound that had festered.

Boss has made a full recovery and is a healthy boy now. He has undergone some behavioural training and is thriving now. He knows how to meet and be around other animals. He would do well in a home that has a spayed, large breed, female dog with a calm temperament. He is good with people. As any other Husky, he is incredibly vocal and loves to chat. He loves to run free and enjoys playing ball. He is open to learning and is receptive to commands.

Boss is vaccinated and dewormed. He is neutered. He is toilet trained.

Boss needs a home that:

• is experienced with working breeds, especially Huskies
• has access to good groomers, private veterinary care and trainers or behaviourists
• can provide a non-vegetarian diet
• can provide him a structured lifestyle and proper guidance
• preferably a home with ample space to run around
