Meet Sky, a resilient, 2.5 to 3-year-old, male Labrador Retriever, who is ready to find his forever home!

Despite a diagnosis of hip dysplasia, Sky’s spirit is unbreakable. He has already successfully recovered from surgery on his right hip / leg and is currently navigating life with ease. He can climb stairs, go for walks, and play without any issues. While he may need surgery on his left leg once he grows older, right now he is a happy, active boy who does not let anything slow him down!

Sky is wonderful with children, adults, and other dogs. He is toilet trained. His training is so advance that if there is an emergency, he will start heaving and stand by the door to show you that he needs to go out. He can be left alone for a couple of hours. He shows no signs of food aggression or resource guarding. Sky is a moderately active boy who enjoys three walks a day. As is with all Labs, he loves food and enjoys his home-style cooked, chicken, rice and vegetable diet.

He is vaccinated and dewormed.

Sky requires a home that:

• understands and is willing to provide the requisite level of care to a large breed that suffers from joint issues such as hip dysplasia, especially in his older age, including taking him for physiotherapy and providing him with supplements
• is experienced with working breeds
• has access to good groomers, private veterinary care and trainers or behaviourists
• can provide a non-vegetarian diet
