GINA needs a home!

Meet Gina, a 2 year old female German Shephard who was rescued near Airoli in a critical and heartbreaking condition. When rescued, she was visibly emaciated and frail. She suffered from tick fever and muscle atrophy. She also had a wound on her hind leg that was infested with maggots. Undoubtly she was in unimaginable pain, every movement a struggle.

Yet, her resilience prevailed. Today, her tick fever is gone, her wounds have healed, and those fragile legs have grown strong again. Her muscles are developing beautifully. The same girl who once could barely walk can now run.

Emotionally, Gina is still healing. While she is not introverted, she proceeds with caution. She is learning slowly that the world can be gentle. Watching her blossom is pure magic.

We anticipate that she had been crated for long hours and given hardly any walks by a breeder, leading to muscle atrophy and mild arthritis. Inspite of this, she is excellent on a leash and would love going out on a walk twice a day. Walks and appropriate exercise would be ideal for her physical and mental enrichment.

She has made an incredible transformation and is now looking for her forever home.

Her medical needs are minimal. Her muscle atrophy and mild arthritis require her to take some supplements to support her muscles and joints.

She needs a home that:
• has prior experience with German Shepherds
• understands her breed and her past
• is willing to give her the structure she needs and deserves
• has no other dogs or pets, so that she can receive all the love, time, and attention she has missed out on
• is patient, gentle, and consistent
• sees not just her past, but her incredible potential for a bright future

Gina deserves a life where she is cherished, protected, and celebrated every single day. If you can offer this brave, beautiful girl the safe, loving home she has fought so hard for, please reach out.
