Oscar has a tendency to hump when he feels insecure or overstimulated, a behavior that can be managed with understanding, structure, and positive guidance. Despite his anxieties, he is a gentle, devoted companion who forms strong bonds with the people he trusts.

Oscar is neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and ready to start the next chapter of his life with a family that will love him for who he is.

Oscar is looking for a home that:

• is patient, understanding and willing to help him build confidence
• can provide him with a calm, stable environment where he can feel secure
• can provide him with consistent routines and positive reinforcement-based training
• understands that anxiety-related behaviours require management, not punishment
• understands and can commit to lifelong care, including regular veterinary care and quality nutrition
• all family members should be on board with adopting a dog
• is experienced with working breeds, especially Labradors
• has access to good groomers, private veterinary care and trainers or behaviourists
• can provide a non-vegetarian diet

Oscar has already experienced the uncertainty of losing his home. What he needs now is a family that will offer him patience, reassurance, and unconditional love. In return, he will reward them with endless affection, loyalty, and companionship.
