Meet Ozzy, a 3-year-old, male Cocker Spaniel. He was surrendered to us for, what we believe, the inability of his family to cope with the demand of his allergies that would cause him to break out into rashes and lose fur at certain places on his skin. He is allergic to rice and grain and requires to be on a protein diet. With this knowledge and the right diet, his skin issues have settled, patches healed and fur has begun to regrow.

He is an extremely loving boy. He loves to cuddle and spend time with his humans. He does have separation anxiety and would require someone to be with him at all times. He loves people and is good with other dogs. He may do well in a household with other dogs. He is a good boy who understands how to walk on a leash.

He is vaccinated, dewormed and will be neutered soon.

Ozzy needs a home that:

• understands his dietary needs and medical condition (i.e. allergies and skin condition)
• has access to good groomers, private veterinary care and behaviourist or trainers (if required)
• can provide a protein rich, grain free, non-vegetarian diet
• will not leave him alone for extended periods of time
